Mastering AI‑Assisted Writing: An 8‑Step Workflow for Authentic, Engaging Content

WritewithAI hero image
“Writing killer content with AI is easier than you think, if you know the tricks.”

Why Combine Human Creativity with AI?

  • Scale: Draft long pieces or multiple variants in minutes.
  • Depth: Pull insights from dozens of sources in one place.
  • Focus: Let the machine handle grunt work so you can stay on story, voice, and personal anecdotes.

The 8‑Step Workflow

1. Craft a Clear Research Prompt

Start with a solid question set. Frameworks such as Lyra or Pretty Prompt guide you to ask targeted questions, showing the AI exactly what you need.

2. Run Deep Research

Drop that prompt into ChatGPT and Gemini Deep Research, or any tool you trust. Two angles give richer raw material.

3. Save the Findings as PDFs

When each chat wraps up, export the conversations as PDF files. You’ll feed them to the next step.

4. Turn Research into a Focused Content Prompt

Open a fresh Lyra session, upload both PDFs, and ask for a content prompt tuned to your goal—blog post, newsletter, LinkedIn thread, you name it.

5. Generate the First Draft

Send that prompt, plus the PDFs, to a specialist GPT built for long‑form or SEO writing. Let the model produce the first pass.

6. Add Human Warmth

Copy the draft into a humanizer GPT such as Humanizer Pro. It adds rhythm, varied sentence length, and subtle stylistic quirks.

7. Scrub AI Fingerprints

Run the text through ChatGPT once more with a cleanup prompt. Remove stiff phrasing, and any leftover dash clutter.

8. (Optional) Publish Straight to WordPress and Yoast

Ask ChatGPT for WordPress‑ready HTML plus the meta description, slug, and focus keywords, then paste and publish.

Bonus Tips for Next‑Level Content

  • Visuals matter: Pair the piece with AI‑generated images or quick videos.
  • Automate: Stitch the whole flow together with tools like n8n, Zapier or Make.
  • Keep it personal: Drop in your stories, data, and opinions – nothing beats a real voice.
  • Iterate: Edit, read aloud, let it cool for a day, then give it a final polish.

Real Example:

Let’s craft the prompt for the deep research. Here is ChatGPT’s response after I pasted the Lyra prompt:

I decided I want to write an article for b2b tech CEOs – How not to overspend marketing budgets.

The first step is to get a great prompt from Lyra that I’ll later use in deep research:

I answered Lyra’s question and got the perfect prompt:

I pasted the prompt to ChatGPT deep research and answered the questions:

It’s pretty similar with Gemini Deep Research:

So now I have both ChatGPT and Gemini Deep Research – researching the same topic.

When the research is complete, I’ll download both files as PDF.

(Tip: You can ask Gemini to generate a clean, professional-looking infographic).

Here we go (2 complete research documents – just a screenshot):

OK, back to a fresh instance of the Lyra prompt. This time I’m asking Lyra to write the prompt for the actual content (not the research like before). I’m also uploading both PDFs for context:

I’ll answer Lyra’s questions:

And here is the perfect prompt I got back from Lyra. This time to write the actual content:

I’ll paste the prompt to an AI writer (one of the great community custom GPTs for example). Don’t forget to upload the PDFs here as well. You can also paste the prompt to blank GPT instance. It will still give you great results.

And here we go, I have my first draft (below is just a screenshot, not the full content of course)!

I’ll copy the text to any humanizer tools (again, some great customGPTs available). Then I will even add the following prompt to remove any “AI Feel”.

And here we go, we have the final version:

Don’t forget to review, and add some personal human touch.
